Early Onset Dementia
The technology
Our technology uses proprietary algorithms and artificial intelligence to assess signs of early dementia from the gait (walking patterns), as well as the daily (therapeutic) activity and changes.
By measuring the gait, we can not only identify the early onset of dementia but also progression of the disease.
The need
No existing technology to our knowledge that will allow people to identify the early onset of dementia.
Disempowers people from preparing themselves and family for transitions in life as a result of dementia.
With a rapidly growing group of people above 65, currently sitting at approximately 740 million, this is a significant challenge.
Globally, approximately 1 in 10 people above 65 years old suffer from dementia, and this increases to 3 from 10 that are above 85 years old.
The benefits
Proper neurological assessment that can occur early.
Early commencement of specific therapy to support people suffering dementia.
Applying approaches to support people including for the prevention of getting lost.
